In Arizona A 42-year-old man was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Meth-related charges.  The defendant pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing Meth with intent to distribute, one count of possession of a firearm during a drug-trafficking crime and one count of a felon in possession of a firearm.  He was arrested twice in 2005, both times following a traffic stop where he was found to have Meth in his possession. In the second incident, he also had a 9mm pistol.

In Ontario, Canada A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Meth possession and sales Monday.  He was picked up during an investigation into Meth distribution, and is
allegedly a large-scale Meth dealer.

In Arizona
A deputy noticed a 39-year-old man sitting behind the wheel in his truck backed up to a hill alongside a highway and stopped to check on his well being.  The man claimed he was just resting, but the deputy saw a rolled-up $5 bill inside the truck.  The deputy questioned him about the bill and asked to inspect it. When he unrolled the bill, he discovered a white powdery residue.  The suspect was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia and a search of his truck turned up a small bag of Meth hidden beneath the driver's seat and a credit card with white powder residue on top of the center console of the truck.  The deputy also found a marijuana cigarette in the ashtray and a plastic film canister containing marijuana on the floorboards.

In Texas The 21-year-old mother of an infant that tested positive for Meth admitted to using the drug the day the stimulant was found in the baby’s system.  The woman is battling to get the 8-month-old boy and her 20-month-old daughter returned to her care.  She did admit to being a Meth addict but is vowing to quit her habit. The state took custody of her babies after the boy became sick and tested positive for a high level of Meth. Originally, police suspected the child’s grandmother, but the baby’s mother said she and the baby's uncle brought Meth into the home and possibly dropped some of the powder where the youngster could get to it. The state will keep the two children while Child Protective Services case workers check into other family members willing to take them. The state said they would also arrange for drug treatment for their mother. .  She is six-months pregnant with her third child.
