In Iowa - Three people have been charged with conspiracy to manufacture Meth and possession of a Meth precursor.  The two men, 53- and 43-years old, and a 48-year-old woman were arrested after a store employee became suspicious of their pseudoephedrine purchases.

In Arkansas – A 34-year-old man pleaded guilty to Meth manufacturing charges and then, despite having fled the country to avoid his trial last month, asked to remain free while waiting for space to open up in prison.  The defendant received a 24-year prison sentence.  He was scheduled for trial in two incidents charging him with cooking Meth in his mother’s home.  He disappeared the day his trial was to start, leaving an apologetic note for his mother.  The bondman, who held $30,000 in bonds for the man, found him on an island in San Pedro, Belize, and had U.S. marshals bring him in. He must serve about 17 years before he can seek parole. He wanted to remain free so he could say goodbye to his family, including his 11-year-old daughter and his father, who is ill. He offered to post multiple bonds and wear an ankle monitor.  The judge denied that request, saying "I think the people of (the county) would question my sanity if I let him out at this time."  Instead, he will be kept at the county jail until space is available in the state prison system.

In Minnesota
A 48-year-old man was arrested after deputies found Meth manufacturing material in his car.  Officers were investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle in a business’ parking lot.
