In North Carolina - A man was sentenced to 18-23-years in prison and fined $250,000 after being convicted on Meth-related charges.  He was found guilty of manufacturing and dealing Meth.

In Montana -
A 46-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man accused in a federal charge of conspiring to make Meth denied the accusations. They have been indicted on charges ranging from conspiracy to make Meth, to making and possessing with intent to distribute Meth, plus charges of possessing a listed chemical and maintaining drug-related premises.  If they are convicted, they each face a mandatory minimum 10 years to life in prison.

In Alabama – A 45-year-old man wanted on Meth-manufacturing charges was picked up following a two-week search.  He was discovered in a home where a 25-year-old woman lives with her two young daughters, and authorities say the girls, ages 3 and 7, were very likely around when the adults were cooking Meth.  A search of the woman’s home and a storage shed on the property revealed two Meth labs.  The woman was already under investigation by child protection officers for a manufacturing charge filed in 2004. The adults were taken to jail and the young girls placed with a relative pending an investigation.

In Arkansas
A man caught with more than 28-grams of Meth thought he had an easy way out of trouble – he told a deputy he was working as an undercover informant doing a controlled buy.  But, it turned out that although he discussed such a role with officers earlier (following an arrest) he never signed up as an informant, nor had he met with officers to fulfill that discussion.  Now the 45-year-old faces a felony drug charge.

In New Mexico - The parents of an 8-month-old girl were indicted by a grand jury on child abuse charges after the baby tested positive for Meth. The child’s 38-year-old mother and 36-year-old father were arrested after an officer pulled the woman over a traffic violation.  She had the baby in the back of the car, and allegedly told the officer she had no food or electricity at home. According to the officer, the milk in the baby’s bottle was curdled and she was not properly restrained.  The officer went to the home to check on the living conditions for the baby, and found the floor filthy, clothes piled on the bed where the infant slept and drug paraphernalia in the home. The woman claims the paraphernalia belonged to her boyfriend, the child’s father, who also lived in the home.  The man admitted he smoked Meth and marijuana.  The couple say they neglected their child and the home while they were angry with each other.

In Alabama - A routine domestic violence call ended with Meth charges against a couple.   A 32-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were arrested after officers responding to the call found drug paraphernalia in the home.  The police got and executed a search warrant, and discovered a Meth lab in a storage shed.  Officers believe it had been in operation for quite a while.

In Virginia - A federal grad jury indicted eight people in a major Meth ring.  The suspects allegedly brought in more than 200 pounds of Meth from Mexico to sell across the area over the past year.  During the investigation, o
fficers seized multiple pounds of Meth, guns, and vehicles

In Tennessee - A deputy who spotted a suspicious car parked in a shopping center’s parking lot stopped to check things out, and found the driver slumped over in the front seat.  The deputy also saw an open beer in the car.  The driver, a 34-year-old man, was arrested when the officer learned his license was suspended.  A search of the car then turned up a medium sized Meth lab in the trunk and behind the passenger’s seat.  The suspect is charged with Meth manufacturing.

In Ohio - A grand jury indicted a couple on several Meth charges after a traffic stop led to a Meth lab bust.  The man and woman allegedly had the lab and marijuana in their car.  Several businesses in a shopping plaza, including a daycare center, had to be shut down and evacuated while the lab chemicals were taken care of.

In Kentucky - A stop at a traffic safety checkpoint led to drug charges against two people.  State troopers stopped the car, and during a search found $15,000 worth of Meth.  The man and woman are both charged with possession of a controlled substance.
