In Tennessee – 35-people have been charged in a Meth round up after local and federal officers spent 18-months investigating suspected Meth trafficking.  Two of the suspects are believed to be major Meth dealers in the area.  Authorities searched two retail locations that were also Meth hotspots.  The manager of one store said he had no idea two of his employees had Meth on the premises.

In Kansas - A jury found a 26-year-old man guilty of capital murder in the 2005 killing of a sheriff, as well as convicting him of four counts of attempted capital murder against two deputies and two state troopers, manufacturing Meth and criminal possession of a firearm.  The defendant admitted to the killing, but he also admitted he was high on Meth at the time.  His defense attorney argued that his client would not have had the forethought to commit premeditated murder due to his Meth use.  Jurors will now decide whether to sentence the defendant to death or life in prison without parole.

In Arkansas - An apartment manager discovered Meth-related paraphernalia inside a trash compacter he was trying to repair.  The manager called police to the apartment, one of many housing University students.  Officers then found evidence of a Meth lab that they believe was relatively new.  Two women and one man were living in the one-bedroom apartment.  Police suspect the man was responsible for the Meth lab.

In Idaho - A 33-year-old man and his 32-year-old wife were arrested after police discovered a Meth lab in their home.  The couple is charged with several felonies, including manufacturing Meth and injury to a child. State protective services removed four children from the house.

In California
An officer that pulled a driver over for traffic violations noticed the man was more nervous than what would be considered usual.  The officer used a K9 to scout out the van and got an alert to drugs.  The ensuing search turned up eight-pounds of Meth packaged in six duct-taped bags behind the rear air conditioning unit.  The driver, 45-years-old, was arrested on suspicion of Meth possession for sales and transportation for sales.

In Minnesota
A 39-year-old man was arrested for selling Meth after being caught in a sting operation.  A confidential informant arranged to purchase a half-ounce of Meth from the suspect.  The informant allegedly bought 14.3-grams of Meth from the man at a residence, and later told police the man took the Meth from a shelf in the bathroom of the residence.  The suspect also allegedly carried a gun in his pocket the entire time, with his right hand on the gun during the buy.  The suspect is charged with first-degree controlled substance crime, first-degree controlled substance crime while in possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.  He faces a maximum sentence of 60 years imprisonment and/or $2-million in fines if he is convicted on all charges.

In Michigan - A judge will decide if parents of an infant who died of dehydration and malnutrition due to neglect in a suspected Meth lab will face murder charges.  The two have been charged with the second-degree murder of their 18-month-old son, a life felony.  They are also charged with Meth manufacturing and maintenance of a lab.  During the pretrial hearing, the medical examiner testified the child’s death was homicide due to malnutrition and dehydration due to child neglect.  Officers who responded to the home after a call for help described putrid living conditions and the evidence of a Meth lab.  The judge will rule later in November if there is enough evidence to bind the suspects over to circuit court.

In West Virginia - Deputies spotted a 26-year-old woman driving recklessly, then throw out a gasoline container onto the road.  The deputy who pulled the woman over reportedly found a Meth lab setup in the car, along with a chemistry instruction book.  The suspect is charged with attempting to manufacture Meth.
